About Me	Born in Puerto Rico; grew up in Glen Cove, Long Island, NY. Twenty one year US Army veteran. Currently reside in Virginia. Football fan. I was born near San Juan, PR, a developtment named Roosevelt. My Dad's name was also Juan G. My Mom's maidem name was Maria Monserrate Crespo. Both my parents were from Lares, PR. My grandfather's name from my father's side was Matias Suau. Regretfully, I never got to meet him. I grew up in Glen Cove, Long Island (NY) where I went to high school and graduated in 1969. I attended Nassau CC for a few years. I joined the US Army in 1972 with a three year committment. This turned out to be a 21 year career. I met my wife Irene in Munich Germany (Sept 1974). My military stations were Berlin Brigade (yes, I remember the Wall); Munich (GER) with the best unit ever.... the 66th MI Gp, Ft. Meade, MD, Ft. Huachuca (AZ), Honduras, Ft. Sill, OK, Washington D.C., Panama, the Pentagon and short temporary tours in Colombia. We have a son (Juan Navas) who currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden. He gradu...(read more)
