About Me	I married my college sweetheart, Coach Mark Fischer. We moved back to his hometown of Richmond, VA after our years at Concord College. I've been teaching Health/Physical Education for the past 28 years. (mostly Middle School) Mark taught Health/PE/Driver's ED, and was also a local high school football coach for the Louisa County Lions. (I"m sure you're surprised to hear this) :) I guess you can compare our wonderful life to the tv series, Friday Night Lights. In 2011, Mark was diagnosed with an aggressive form of blood cancer, known as Multiple Myeloma. The doctors expected him to live one to three years. Instead, my strong, loving, dedicated, and determined husband made it to almost seven years after his initial diagnosis in 2012. On February 17, 2019, my best friend since I was 18 years old gained his wings. My life is completely different now, but I"m trying my best to live by faith and not by sight.
