Happy New Year everyone, and, as we quickly renig our New Year's resolutions, at this time in my life, that's been blessed with, health, happiness and great friends, I was asked once, do you have any regrets, big or small. And I didn't have to think very long, because there was one thing I wish I had done in high school, that to this day, still have me wondering what if. I'm sure this isn't an isolated regret only to me. You see I had a crush on a girl, would see her every day, pass her in the hallways, but never had the courage to say anything to her. Why, I couldn't tell you, I had no trouble talking to just about any other girl, but not this girl. So, for a whole year I lived in anguished, finally, with time running out, the Senior Prom was fast approaching, I'd get reassuring confidence from my two friends, I was all siked up, ready to do it, and yes, she had already had a date for the Prom. I did attend the Prom, my date and I tripled dated with my two friends and their dates, had a nice time. But why didn't I ask her much earlier, procrastinating seems to be a teenagers Kryptonite. Well later that night sitting on the edge of my bed, still in my rented tux, pondering the day's events, I thought, well she's academic and I'm commercial B. I sit here now, some 54 years later, typing on a modern-day cellphone, with shatter prove gorilla glass, I wish back then, they could have found a way, to make a heart... that don't break.
