About Me	Attended and graduated college, married my life long sweetheart, served in the Army as an attack helicopter pilot for 24+ years, served three combat tours of duty in the Global War on Terrorism and served in three tours of duty in Multi-National positions in Egypt, Iraq and Afghanistan. My wife, who was a child hood friend, have three boys, two are in highschool and one is in junior highschool. I retired from the Army on 30 September 2008 and rejoined my wife and 3 boys, Ryker, Henry and Ian in Natchitoches, Louisiana. In late September while waiting to retire I accepted a position in Iraq with the U.S. Dept. of Defense as Dept. of the Army Civilian. It's Thaksgiving Day 2008 and I've been back in Iraq a little bit over a month. I live and work on COB Speicher, north of Baghdad and north of Balad Airbase, near the town of Tikrit, Iraq. I'm currently the Site Lead at COB Speicher for a DoD project to enhance survivability for crews and certain types of vehicles that carry troops, supplies and equipment on the roads between FOBs and bases in northern Iraq. These enhancements provide state of the art armor protection for our troops against road side bombs and direct fire ambushes. Still working in Iraq as Site Lead for an armor upgrade project for certain kinds of trucks - still loving the opportunity to serve our nation and preserve our way of life. May go back to Afghanistan in a year or so and serve over there again. Update: 21July2018: I ended up spending 2 more years in Iraq then transferred to Afghanistan where I spent 2010-2015 as an Operations Officer.
