Served 14 years active duty and 14 yrs in National Guard as a Combat Medic. I'm retiring this Feb '09. After three major deployments (El Salvador operation "Big Pine II" 1983, Panama operation "Just Cause", and Somalia operation "Restore Hope". I have also served in Berlin, and Stuttgart Germany, and Korea. I was awarded The Army Meritorious Service Medal for participating in what most people know as "Black Hawk Down" rescue mission. Awarded presidential citations "Valorous Unit Award", and "Superior Unit Award" as part of Task force Bayonet in Panamas raid on La Comandancia (Noriega's Headquarters)

Awards or Medals received: Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star with (V), Purple Heart, Army Commendation with (V), and several other medals . The (V) stands for Valor. These medals were unexpected. Just did my job along with fellow soldiers.
