I first met Alan when GWHS opened in September 1962. He was entering 10th grade and I 9th grade. We were friends until July 4, 2024, when he passed away. He was my best man in 1979 when I was married. We played touch football rain or shine, or snow on Sundays at "Five Diamonds" on the Boulevard. We played basketball .He attended my Alum Mater Philadelphia Textile's basketball games we shared ups and downs of the Eagles all these years. We attended games before he moved to Las Vegas regularly. Even though he and his wife and daughters Cindi and Caryn moved to Las Vegas we spoke regularly on the phone, especially after Eagles games. We visited them several times. Alan would take us around Vegas area.
Alan was a positive person, even though he had health issues. As a diabetic he gave of himself being a counselor at a camp for diabetic children in Nevada.
