About Me	How to encapsulate the 50 years since graduating from GW in 1963? Here’s the quick chronology. I got my undergraduate degree in Physics (Pomona College, 1967), my doctorate in Physiology and Biophysics (Univ. of Washington, 1974), did Postdoctoral Research (Yale, 1974-1977), and then progressed through the Professorial ranks (Univ. of Iowa, 1977-1986; Colorado State Univ., 1986-2005; Univ. of Colorado Med. School, 2005-present). I married Joan in 1970 and we have two sons (Aaron born in 1973 and Colin born in 1977) and one grandson (Niko, born in 2009). I’ve been fortunate to have had a reasonably successful career (elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2012) and to have remained healthy.
