About Me	When you're down and have a frown take the lemons and make lemonade and laughter will be your only sound. For those of you who are new friends let me share just a little background of who I am. I am one of four children - the only female child- who grew up in a small town in Hudson Valley area of NYS. Graduated in 1976 from High School with honors in a class which grew up together during the later part of the Vietnam era. The class of '76 from this High School can boast of being the smallest graduating class of that year in Orange County NY. From there I went on to college finally graduating with a BS in Music Therapy from SUNY New Paltz. During my third year of college I realized that God was calling me into the ordained ministry. I was accepted to seminary in Ohio a year before graduating from New Paltz. By the time I graduated from United Theological Seminary in 1984, my two younger brothers were married and blessed the family with my three older nephews. Following graduation from seminary, I relocated to Upstate NY to my first pastoral assignment in Syracuse,NY. I was ordained a Deacon in the UMC in 1986 and four years later was ordained an Elder. During this time period my two younger brothers blessed me with 3 more nephews. They have been a hoot to watch grow up into fine young men!! In 1999 I took educational leave to pursue further education and practice as a nurse which has served as an extention of my ministry. Recently I moved back to Tuxedo to help mom out and continue to await word on returning to pulpit ministry. Mark and Lauren were married in October '10 and are now expecting their first child!! Matthew and Maria will be married in June '11. Adam and Brittany plan a '12 Fall wedding. Aaron is a police officer-won't believe it!- on the Tuxedo Police Force. Christopher hopes to join the NYC police dept. Stevie and Adam continue to quietly make their marks on the world with cooking and army reserves. Dad passed away August 24,2009. Ma still lives at the old homestead on Circle Drive. Kenny remains single, at home and working at McDonalds. As for me ...(read more)
