About Me	I left after graduating from Gardiner and went into the Air Force for 6 years. I was chosen out of My AirFrame Repair school in Rantoul Il. , and went to Andrews A.F.B. in Md. There I did work on V.I.P Aircraft including ir Force One and Two. As well as various other Aircraft. I worked there from the end of Nixon to a year into President Carter's term. Then was sent to Pope A.F.B in N.C. I got out of the Air force in 1980 and managed N.E, Furniture for a while. Then went to work at Togus. V.A. Afte adopting two boys with my wife at the time. During this time I worked at the State Library in the shipping Department, set up there warehouse and was responsible for moving the whole collection out during the asbestos crisis. I was then Hired by the Law and Legislative Reference Library in the Capital Building. I have been 25 years with 31 years state time. I joined the National Guard in 1989 and drove heavy tractor trailers. I transferred to The 619th Trans Co. in Auburn and spent my next 14 years there with a deployment to Iraq . There I was in Convoys all over Iraq. Our Unit the 619th broke records in Transportation . The unit put on 2.4 million miles in 1 year. We did not lose anyone but some trucks were damaged by IED's and some injuries. I was injured and t...(read more)
