Friday eve Oct 25, most likely Walk Street Restaurant Bar or nearby if Leos actually closes. Sat is a typical football game at GCHS. Sat Oct 26 is the big event at one of the Country Clubs in Village. Don't be reluctant to bring your spouse or significant other....they've heard about some of your friends over the years. Garden City Hotel is expensive but a few already have reservations there.

The class of 1969 experienced history on a regular basis: The Summer of Love, the Tet Offensive, Nixon's rise to power, The Beatles' creative peak... very few spans of time can claim to have shaped American culture as much as the late 60's, and you & your Garden City High School classmates experienced it together.

Confirming! GCHS 50th will be at the Garden City Country Club. Post cards have been sent tp as many alumni as could be located which provides a link to a website specific to the weekend event. Jim and Patti Yates are helping make the arrangements. please go to the Reunion Website at www.GCHSClassof1969.myevent.com. The weekend includes casual gathering at the newly renovated Leo's on Seventh Street on Friday evening. On Saturday daytime there will be historic bus tours o Garden City, including a memorial service for those we have lost. Saturday, Oct 26 starting at 7PMis the cocktails and dinner at the GC Country Club. Cost for that event is $169 per person for early sign-ups,and about $1000 at the door. Well, not quite that high, but bring a wad of cash if you can't make up your mind until the last minute. Good news is that the Class of 1968 held their 50th last year and had a bit of money left over which they donated to Class of 69 so we haven't had to scramble to funds for deposits and printing, etc. That was a good gesture and the Class of 69 intends to donate anything left to the class of 70 so they too will have a head start.
