About Pamela M. Szczsponik, age 56, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2016 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born May 28, 1959 in Baltimore, MA.

Pam was a former resident of Garden City. She graduated from Garden City High School, class of 1977 and was married to her spouse, Wayne at the Cathedral of Incarnation Church.

Pam is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Wayne; her cherished daughters, Megan Szczsponik and Amanda Szczsponik; her dear sister, Cynthia McManus and brothers, David McManus and Brian McManus; her niece, Karen McManus; her parents-inlaw, John and Loretta Szczsponik; her brother-in-law, John (Melissa) Szczsponik, Jr.; as well as many great friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence McManus.

Pam earned her bachelors degree in Arts and Communication from University of Rhode Island. From 1982- 1990 she worked at Merrill Lynch in Hartford, CT. Pam enjoyed her years as a Teacher's Assistant in District #203, and previously was employed at Victoria's Secret and most recently as a receptionist at DuPage Medical Group. She was a very active member of her church, St. John's Episcopal Church, Naperville. She served as a Sunday school teacher, the wedding coordinator and volunteered with the Trinity Sandwich Board helping other church members feed the homeless. She was most proud of being the best mom she could be. She loved spending time with her daughters and their friends and in taking part in their activities by coaching their soccer team or leading their Brownie troop. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Pam's life, memorial donations may be directed to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC).

Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 3:00 until 9:00 PM at the Friedrich- Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 11:00 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 750 Aurora Ave., Naperville. Interment will be private. For information, please call 630/355-0213.
