About	Mark S. Levine passed away on March 27. Beloved husband of Sharyn, devoted father of Alyse (Joseph) Edwards and Lesley (Andrew) Azzinaro and adoring grandfather of Leah, Molly and Samantha. Mark was the Chairperson of the Foreign Language Department of Garden City High School from 1973 to 2002. He was active in many professional language organizations on local, state and national levels. In 1988, the U. S. State Department asked him to go to Bangladesh as an educational consultant and in 2002, he was selected to be included in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." Known by his students as being tough but fair, his colleagues respected him as a man of integrity, compassion, wit and dedication. His interests were many and wide-ranging, but above all else, he loved to teach. (Source: Garden City News)
