About	Jenny passed away in December, 2020 due to what seems like a heart condition. She worked at Stratford Avenue Elementary School in Garden City as a teacher's aid for a good number of years after raising her five children. Jenny worked mainly at Stratford with children who had special needs. She had a passion for helping kids learn and enjoy school. Jenny was married to Bob Defliese (Class of '69 and a PE teacher in the GC schools) for 41 years. They lived in GC for thirty-eight of those years. Jenny was a great mom, an avid runner and swimmer, a talented illustrator (she worked for Hearst Business Corp. as a graphic designer for 8 years before starting her family), and an all-around fun person to be with, with a very sarcastic sense of humor, mainly aimed at her husband! The family has donated an award in Jenny's name at Stratford for a student who has demonstrated a passion for art work, which will be awarded annually in the school's fifth-grade end-of-year award's assembly. Jenny's 50th high school reunion is coming up in 2024.
