| About Me | Hello everyone! Here's a quick update on my journey since graduating high school in 1989. I enlisted in the Army as a military policeman during my senior year of high school, which led to a short stint stationed in Texas. I was recruited into Army Special Operations as a medic. My military career took me across Europe for nearly 5 years. Seeking to further my education, I transitioned to the Reserves in Texas, which allowed me to complete my undergraduate degree. Following this, I pursued medical school in Michigan. It was during my residency in the Henry Ford Health System that I met my wonderful wife and her children. While juggling family life, I stayed active in the National Guard and was deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Professionally, my wife and I have grown significantly. She's been working in healthcare and is now completing her doctorate. She holds an executive position in safety, risk, and emergency management at Henry Ford Health. I, on the other hand, have recently transitioned from HFH to the Detroit VA Medical Center, where I currently work, balancing this with my leadership responsibilities in the US Army Reserve. On a personal note, we faced the poignant task of caring for our aging parents and grandparents. We moved my parents from Dale City to our Michigan home, where they spent their final years until 2021. I'm deeply grateful for those precious moments with them. As for our children, they are thriving in various stages of undergraduate education, exploring relationships, and embarking on their careers.
