About Amazing Dad, Proud Papa, Beloved Husband, Favorite Uncle and Brother

Air Force veteran and Grand Forks resident, Chuck Randall, passed peacefully in the presence of family on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at The Denver Hospice in Colorado at the age of 69.

Born and raised in Quantico, Virginia, Chuck moved to North Dakota in 1966 and married JuniKae Parisien in 1967 in Belcourt, ND.

Chuck graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1973 with a degree in business administration. Over the course of his career, he worked diligently to make a difference for his family and for the American Indian people.

Chuck was recognized as a dynamic business consultant and worked closely with tribes around the country to boldly create economic development opportunities. He was highly regarded for his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Indian Country as an enrolled tribal member of thePatawomeck Indian Tribe of Virginia.

Here is a look back at a man who truly had a Wonderful Life.

When Charlie Randall graduated from Garfield High School in Woodbridge Virginia, his classmates voted him both "most humorous" and "most likely to succeed."

By today’s standard. He proved them right. Chuck touched the lives of many and his positive impact is the true measure of his legacy.

Chuck was a devoted husband and loyal friend. Without a doubt, Chuck-Daddy’s greatest joys were his two daughters and four grandchildren. He relished telling jokes with a self-deprecating humor that endeared him to nieces and nephews. Chuck entertained his daughters’ friends with amusing stories over the years that filled a room with laughter that still resonates today.

He was famous for his homemade pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, fried chicken and chili. An avid sports fan and card shark, Chuck enjoyed swinging a golf club, watching little league baseball, shooting hoops and loved Washington Redskins football. He played fast-pitch softball and was a voracious reader and history buff.

Throughout his life, Chuck was a dedicated family man. He served as school board president, basketball coach, chairman of fund-raising events, and was known to help sell a record number of Girl Scout cookies. Chuck was a member of the American Legion, Optimist Club and Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus. He spent countless hours sharing adventurous stories and playing games with his grandkids. They always knew how much Papa loved them and every time a bell rings they think of him and know they were a central part of his Wonderful Life.

He is survived by, his wife, JuniKae Parisien-Randall; daughters, Juliet Randall, Denver, CO and Suzanne Randall-Stangeland, Denver, CO; sons-in-law, Brendan Marcum, Denver, CO and Mark Stangeland, Denver, CO; grandchildren, Amelia Marcum (12), Matthew Stangeland (8), Charlie Stangeland (4) and Eleanor Stangeland (4); and siblings Dorothy, Jean, Joyce, Shep, Gerald, Patsy, Kathleen and Jim.
