About Frank Gingo, 90, passed away March 30, 2013.

He was born in Akron where he lived all of his life. A graduate of North High School, Frank served in both the Army during World War II and the Navy during the Korean Conflict, using the GI Bill to continue his education at Kent State University where he earned his Masters Degree. He was a teacher in the Akron Public School System for over 20 years and was also employed by the U.S. Postal Service. Frank enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michele and Maria Gingo; beloved wife, Jessie (Moczydlowski); brothers, Joe, George and Jack; and grandson, Michael Stewart. Frank is survived by his children, Rich (Ruth), Ray (Crystal), Sandy (Joe) Garbinsky; current wife, Marlene; brothers, Jim, Pete (Pat) and Tony (Glenna); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Matthew Church, 2603 Benton St., Akron. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron.
