Graduation Year Class of 1981

About Toni Sharron Williams was born to the union of Rev. Lt. Commander Warren Williams, Jr. (deceased) and Mary Louise Williams on April 11, 1963 in Bethesda, Maryland. Toni resided in Stafford, Virginia with her son, David Thompson and mother, until her passing on Friday, March 29, 2013. Toni graduated in 1981 from Gar-field High School in Dale City, Virginia. She had been a member of First Mount Zion Baptist Church, Dumfries, Virginia, since 1980. Anyone who knew Toni knew she loved to sing. While in school and church, Toni was a faithful member of several choirs, including the Choraliers, Zionettes and the Women of Gospel Workshop Choirs. Toni went on to achieve academic excellence in securing an Associate’s of Arts degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, from Strayer University. She graduated with honors, was a member of the National Dean’s List 2004-2005, and Who’s Who in 2010-2011. She also played an active role in the Alumni Association for Strayer University. Through the University’s Alumni Association, Toni was an avid supporter and participant of the Susan G. Komen Cancer Walk.

Toni’s employment began in 1983 as a proof operator at the Bank of Virginia. Toni made the honorable decision to serve her country in April 1999, when she joined the United States Navy, like her father. She was an E5 and proudly served as an Air Traffic Controller. After leaving the Navy, Toni joined Exxon-Mobil. Her most recent career move landed her with the Defense Logistics Agency as a Finance Analyst. Toni loved the Lord. Her daily ritual involved reading scripture, sharing the Word, and counseling her loved ones with love and sound advice.

She leaves to mourn her passing, a son, David Warren Thompson; mother, Mary Louise Williams; grandmother, Ruby Nell Williams; four brothers, Warren (Dinorah), Kevin (Meschelle), Eric (Aleta), Darrell (Ebelia); nephews and nieces, Timothy, Jessica, Charri (Eric), Justin, Lyndzee, Sharron (Adrian), Cari, Jahmell, Dorian, Jahliese, Jordan and Johnathan; Godson Kendall; Uncles Herbert Bolding (Lisa), Julius Bolding (Marion), Floyd Bolding, Aunts Phyllis Singh, Pearl Singh and Lucretia Bolding, Great-Nephews/Nieces, a special friend Calvin E.
