Robert Wright

Class of 1974

Graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Geology/Mathematics. Then pursued a career in IT. Worked for MCI Telecommunications during the 1990's in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Along with fellow teammates, helped to develop the software for 1-800-COLLECT during this time period. Also developed software for British Telecom and Avantel (Mexico) as part of their strategic alliance with MCI. All this ended abruptly when WorldCom bought MCI in 1998. Started working for Sprint in Kansas City in 1998. In April 2020, T-Mobile closed on the deal to merge with Sprint and I became a T-Mobile employee. Currently serving as Senior Software Engineer for Capacity Planning.
