About Me	I spent 4 years in the navy from 1962-1966 as a fire control tech. I came back to Schenectady to work for General Electric and a Research and Development company. I learned all I could learn and the taxes got to high. I moved to Elizabeth City, NC and went to work on the river, repairing and upgrading tug boat and trawlers. I realized how much i missed the water, growing up in an area without any! I started as mechanic and moved on to equipment salesman for ten years. I started my own business designing hydraulic and pneumatic applications. Sub-contracted to Hughes aircraft on a classified submarine program, which ended up being outed in "The Hunt for Red October"!! During desert shield-desert storm, contracted all hydralic repairs on cargo ship hydraulics on 5 vessels for MARAD. Due to illness, I closed up for a year, went back to work on the submarine project as a Towed Array Operation/ Maintenance Instructor. It was very rewarding as when I went back on the project, we were working with the Japanese Navy and I waas able to work training Japanese sailors. At the end of that project, I was employed as a Winch and Crane Factory Rep on Navy, MSC and commercial at sea handling systems. I got sick again had had my colon removed due to Asbestosis! After my recouperation, I have worked for Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Nuc Mechanic (no, I don't glow in the dark). In 2005, I worked at the Kesselring Plant (by Rock City Falls) for two months to replace a reactor coolant pump. 12 on, 12 off, no time to visit any one. I am still working, mulling retirement.
