About	SUMMERS, SCOTT D. Kalamazoo Scott D. Summers, 49, of Kalamazoo, died unexpectedly at his home on August 7, 2012. Scott was born on October 5, 1962 in Kalamazoo to Glen and Connie (White) Summers. Scott attended Galesburg-August Schools and loved to cook, working at various restaurants. He also enjoyed spending time on the family property on the Kalamazoo River and deer hunting with his father. Scott is survived by his loving mother, Connie M. Summers; three sisters, Theresa Dotson of East Leroy, Glenda Gortikov of California, and Debra Harris of Missouri; a brother, Mike Davis of Florida; nine nephews, three nieces, one great niece and nephew, and his aunt and uncle, Nancy and Dan White. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Glen Summers; his grandparents, Lee and Nettie Summers and Park and Elsie White; two uncles, Mike White and Jim Summers. Cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation will be Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Augusta Chapel. A memorial service to celebrate Scott's life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 13, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Don Ibbotson. A luncheon will then be held at the Augusta Bible Baptist Church. Private interment will be at Augusta Cemetery for the family.
