About Me	I married in 1974, following my graduation from the University of South Florida. My wife and I will celebrate our 45th anniversary this coming September. I retired after 34 and a half years as an educator. I taught Language Arts for ten years and served as a Guidance Counselor for three years. During this period I served on the bargaining team for my local teachers' union, served as vice president, and president of my local union, and served as the Chairman of the Coordinating Council for the United Teachers of North Florida. I then became a school level administrator, serving as an Assistant Principal for six years on both the high school and elementary levels. Following this, I served as the Director of Management Information Systems and Technology at the district level for fifteen years. Like George Bailey in "It's A Wonderful Life", I always yearned to travel, but was tied to responsibilities and commitments. My favorite outdoor activity is snow skiing, which I tried to participate in at least once per year. I viewed these trips as my travel, and adventure. As I neared retirement, opportunities to travel came more often, and although I've never thought of myself as being a world traveler, I've recently realized that is exactly what I have become.
