About Me	I retired in 2025 after 34 & 1/2 years as Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City & County of Denver, Colorado, where I have worked in the Prosecution Section since 1989. I served in the U.S. Army to gain college $ and served during the Cold War in West Berlin, Germany. I traveled to East Berlin regularly, observing the horrible conditions brought about by a centralized socialist totalitarian regime. My wife, Kim, grew up in Bellevue, NE, because her father was in the USAF SAC. She is a Literacy Specialist with a Master's Degree in Special Education (I needed someone with special skills to deal with me). We have one daughter, Alyssa Marie, who is named after my late mother (Mary Alice). She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo in 2025 with a degree in marine science. She is a violinist who served as concertmaster of her college orchestra. Kim & I are planning to relocate to Texas in 2026 to be closer to her great family. I enjoyed skiing when my knees allowed me to, and being in the mountains. I have a few fictional books to finish in retirement—one is a historical fiction based on my family roots in Kearney, NE, where my paternal grandparents managed the Shady Nook Truck Stop adjacent to the famous 1733 Ranch (the exact midpoint of the Lincoln Highway) just before WWII.
