"Phillip Herbster
Phillip LeRoy Herbster, 42, Chula Vista, Calif., former MHS teacher, died Aug. 12, 1989, in La Mesa, Calif.
Services were Aug. 14 from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chula Vista. Internment was Aug. 17 in the Arvada, Colo., cemetery.
He was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Falls City , Neb., and attended schools in Nebraska City, Fremont, and Holdredge, where he graduated from high school in 1965. He received a bachelor's degree in English and drama from Peru State Teachers College in 1969, then taught two years in Oregon, Mo., and sex years in Marysville.
He was manager of a 36 unit complex and self-employed in construction at the time of his death.
Survivors are his wife Lorrie, son Jacob and daughter Jessie, all of Chula Vista; two daughters, Mrs. Jill Smith of Lawrence and Stephanie Herbster of Topeka; his mother, Jane M. Herbster of Holdredge; and his brother, Jerry Herbster of Wahoo."
