About Keith taught arthur murray dancing after enrolling in the army after graduation. He then worked in the family jewelry store Karl's. & he opened Karl's on Main street. He passed quietly in his home from Bone cancer.

Keith Rasmussen, 69, of Fremont died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at his home.

Keith was born to Karl and Mildred (Brown) Rasmussen III on March 5, 1944, in Fremont. He was a graduate of Fremont Senior High School, and a life-long resident of Fremont. Keith served in the United States Army Reserves, and attended Wayne State College in Wayne.

Nearly all of his working career was with his parents and his brother in Karl's Jewelry in downtown Fremont. During these years, he attended many of the jewelers conventions where further training and workshops were held. Following the closing of Karl's Jewelry, Keith opened "Karl's on Main" on the downtown Main Street in Fremont. Keith had also been a dance instructor with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Lincoln. Along with other interests, Keith enjoyed fishing.

Keith and Betty were married on Jan. 14, 1977.

Survivors include: his wife, Betty; three sons, Derek Rasmussen of Cedar Bluffs (and special friend, Lauren Willis), Tim Peterson of Fremont (and special friend Tracy Moore) and Chad (wife Tammy) Peterson of Fremont; three grandsons, Alan and Austin Peterson, and Justin (and wife Ashley) Bittinger; a granddaughter, Taylor Peterson; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Karl (and wife, Annette) Rasmussen IV of Fremont.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Mildred.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials will be directed by the family.
