About Me	Work experience with The City of Venice, Florida: I started with the City on June 10th, 2010 as the Information Systems Director and I am responsible for all aspects of the City’s technology Infrastructure. Work experience prior to The City of Venice: I was employed for 24 years at Ameritech, (formerly The Ohio Bell Telephone Co). Starting in 1971, fresh out of high school, I started in the supply dept., and at the end of my time there I was technical support for the business office automation systems, (desktop PC’s), in Dayton, Oh. I started as a contractor for the Collier County IT department in Feb. 1996. I was then hired as a full time employee in the IT department on July 11, 1996. In the years I have worked in the Collier County IT department I held various positions, from the help desk, Network Engineer, Security Administrator, Information Security Manager, and lastly, Manager of Business Applications and Project Management. Education, training and/or experience: Graduated High school 1971 BS Computer Information Technology 2004 MS Information Systems Management 2005 Numerous IT certifications including CISSP, IT Project Management, etc Special skills and/or knowledge: Previously held OUPV Charter Boat Captain’s License I believe I have a good knowledge of cars and mechanical things. I do most of the work on my own cars.
