| About Me | I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee the summer after graduation, (with my parents), and attended college at the University of Tennessee. I initially started in Architecture and Design school, but after taking several psychology classes for a minor, I decided to change my major to psychology. I graduated in 2005, and began working as a counselor in a psychiatric hospital then as a case manager in a residential treatment center for teenage boys. I got married in October 2008 to Kyle Lawrence, from Decatur, Alabama. After the wedding, I started working as a family therapist for Youth Villages, a non-profit company that works with high-risk children. I am now a clinical supervisor for family therapists who work with these families. It is a highly rewarding field, and everyday brings something new.
