| About Me | After two years at the Univ. of Portland I entered the Air Force Aviation Cadet Navigator program and was commissioned as a 2nd Lt and Navigator. Later while flying in SAC B-52's I was upgraded to Navigator Bombardier. I was involved in the Cuban Crisis during that tour. After 5 years I entered pilot training and received a second aeronautical rating as Pilot. I flew HC-130's for several years in the Air Force Air Rescue and Recovery Service with a combat tour in Nam. I then spent two years at a Intermediate Command level and the final four years of my 22 years of service at Air Rescue Headquarters. I held three key positions at the Headquarters. I was married to a lady that was in the first class of military female pilots. Later I was offered a Command that would have separated us for two years, I turned it down and terminated my career in a wish to support hers. Post A. F. I developed a Landscaping business and a Tax business. I retired from those operations when I was 62. My wife died from beast cancer and I since have remarried. ...(read more) |
