Having forged his way to musical notoriety as a DJ, producer, remixer, and label mogul, he continually travels the globe, working in more clubs than any other American DJ and playing more than 500 club shows in the last ten years alone. And the facts donâ€™t lie: Disciple has amassed a huge and devoted fan base; established the successful music label Catch 22 Recordings in 1997; has produced and A&Red several worldwide smash hits, and received a coveted Grammy nomination in 2002. Disciple has climbed to the top of the house music ladder with DJ residencies all over the world, from Red-Lite in Montreal to Motor in Detroit. His groundbreaking sets at Pacha in Ibiza, Release (San Francisco), and Ministry Of Sound (UK) would have him play these venues at least three times a year. DJ Magazine twice named Disciple one of the worldâ€™s top 100 DJs. He has a faithful following that live for his inspired journeys as well as respect from Pete Tong, BBC Radio 1 and MTV Europe. DJ Discipleâ€™s 2006 Ibiza smash hit, â€œWork It Outâ€ featuring Dawn Tallman, was licensed under Universal House-Trained Records in the UK. It was listed for play on Radio 1 while simultaneously appearing on MTV. In 2007, Catch 22 Recording artists David Tort, DJ Ruff, Gilbert Le Funk, and Angel De Frutos were also pushed to the forefront of the house music scene. â€œChanges,â€ collaboration between David Tort, DJ Ruff, and DJ Disciple, was a massive club hit that appeared on several high-profile compilations including Ministry Of Sound, Erick Morillioâ€™s Subliminal Sessions, Club Azuli (Space), and Pacha Ibiza 2007. In 2009, Disciple continued to perform live at many global venues including Dragon I in Hong Kong, Sneakerz Festival in Amsterdam, Viva in Colombia, and Saxar in Moscow. A quick YouTube search will reveal hours of footage filmed by joyous club heads that documented these memorable moments. In 2010 Catch 22 scored another big hit from Dutch newcomer DJ/producer Stefan Vilijn in the form of the massive big-room anthem â€œJazmin Garden. Barcelona-based producer Javi Mula, who tore up dance floors with his 2009 hit â€œCome On,â€ tapped Disciple for his vocal skills on his latest seismic smash, â€œSexy Lady.â€ After the official video was released in May, Universal Records picked up the track for France; Time In Italy had the record play-listed, as did Spainâ€™s Maxima FM after being released on Blanco Y Negro. Also in the works is another release with Dawn Tallman, â€œWhole World Party,â€ which appears on the 2010 edition of Roger Sanchezâ€™s Release Yourself compilation and The Annual White Party, Montrealâ€™s biggest Dance Mix CD Compilation.
