I became a student at Cox in March 1965 as a sophomore. John, a senior, treated everyone well. As a new student, I was overwhelmed by the student body (more than three times my former high school), the size of the school, and all of the other changes in my life. John was someone I admired and trusted. We were school friends for less than three months, but I remember his kindness and outlook on Life.
