We met at Tech in May 1969, at the last dance of the year, although I had been friends with his sister Gilma for years. Our first date was at a football game against Waco Richfield. After that, we were inseparable. That Christmas he gifted me with a beautiful white gold sweetheart ring. We married in 1973, moved to Waco in 1976, then Houston in 1977. He suffered from kidney disease, which ran in his family. Sadly we tried for children but weren't able to have our own biological, but finally in 1993, adopted a baby girl Marisa Nicole. She was 3 weeks old and we are ecstatically happy! So blessed! He LOVED being 'Daddy'. He was a good young man who grew into a sweet, kind, loving man, husband, father, and friend. We miss you so much! Your wife, Margie
