Sad news indeed, Sam lived just down the street from me in Blawnox. He lived on Summit and I was just around the corner on Center Ave. The Newcamp family lived on Center Ave as well. All the times we all got together playing ball at the old Jr High School just off Center Ave near the top of the hill. After high school so many of us went different ways, College, the military or finding a job.
The last time I was able to meet and talk with Sam was the 45th reunion.
It was indeed a wonderful gathering of the 1st Class to graduate from Fox Chapel High School.
