Warren dropped dead at work.
Alan thought he was goofing off as usual so he didn’t think anything of him laying there on the floor for a while. But when he went to tell him the joke was over he was already gone. Probably complications from the cervical spine injury got while we were in grade school together at Fountain Valley (Elementary) School, which used to be across the street from the FVHS campus Until the retirement center was built in the early 80s.
