As a class member and senior at Ft. Pierce Central high in the year of 1978, Cedric Hepburn began to realize that many opportunities had been afforded to him. As a member of a migrant family like many others, he worked hard in fields and groves surrounding the Fort Pierce community to help his family . this work also ensured that he had the things needed to get through high school. Those years were transitional years for many students and families. However, he had the blessing of having a great mentor in his life. His name is Mr. William "Bill" Schwenger, as a Highschool Teacher, a Mentor, a Scout Master and a Friend. Bill assisted in setting a foundation for the future. Cedric became a member of Who's Who among American High School Students and was awarded the Eagle Scout Badge before leaving high school. HeI joined the military and served this country for more than 20 years, receiving numerous awards and decoration including nomination to work with White House Communication Team. He has served to protect this nation in many conflicts and wars around the world; his stability was based on his my initial foundation. After retirement from the military, he joined the Department of Defense, where he currently serves as a Project Manager as a Information Technology Specialist at Fort Bragg, NC. In his spare time, he has written two books. Cedric Hepburn continues to mentor young men, assist the elderly and support his community.
