About	HILL Fred C., passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Acacia Hospice in Burlington Township, with his family by his side. Born in Jersey City, he was raised in North Bergen and had lived in Bergenfield before moving to Columbus 15 years ago. He graduated from Union Hill High School; served in the U.S. Navy; graduated from Montclair State College with a B.A. and from Columbia University with an M.A. He was a Fine Arts Teacher with the Fort Lee School District and retired after 36 years. Fred took great pride and enjoyed growing African Violets. He was active in the Bergen County African Violet Club; a life member of the Garden State African Violet Club; a member of the Tri-State African Violet Council; and a member and Master Judge in the African Violet Society of America. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Irene M. Hill, his son and daughter, Scott C. Hill of Somerset, NJ and Christine McLaughlin and her husband Bruce of Brick, NJ and their two grandchildren, Lucas and Lauren McLaughlin.
