| About | Catherine Selawsky Canton, MA - Catherine Selawsky, 98, of Canton, Massachusetts, Hackensack and River Edge, New Jersey, died on October 3, 2019. She was born in Italy. Before retiring, Catherine was a language teacher at Fort Lee High School in Fort Lee, New Jersey for 26 years. Prior to that, she worked in the U. S. government. Catherine graduated from Hunter College and N. Y. University. Arrangements are private. |

I had Mrs. Selawsky as my Homeroom teacher for the four years I was at FLHS and as my Italian teacher for my Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. I'll never forget the day she came to class with two different shoes on her feet! When this was discovered she said that it was dark that morning and put her shoes on without turning the lights on and didn't realize that they were different until she was in class that day! I have good memories of being in her class during my HS years.
