Dear Class of 1968 –
Here it is – the details for our 50th class reunion. We’re looking for a big turnout, so be sure to mark your calendars for the weekend of July 6-7-8.
Our 50th reunion will be held on Saturday, July 7, at Spring Creek Golf Course, owned by Mike and Judy Majewski. Spring Creek is located on Hy N, halfway between Fort and Whitewater. There is a pavilion at the golf course, where we will enjoy an outdoor barbecue for dinner. Cocktails will start at 5:00, with dinner being ready by 6:00, followed by music and dancing in the pavilion. The $25/person cost covers your meal, door prizes, music, and beer (until it runs out). There may be some remaining funds at the end of the evening – if so, that money will be donated to a charity in Fort Atkinson. We’ll determine which charity the night of the reunion.
We have arranged 2 tours on Saturday morning for anyone who might be interested. At 9:30, we can tour the new facility at Haumerson Pond – quite a change from the old warming house where we used to hang out and change into our skates. At 10:30, we can tour the new Fort Club Community Center, in the old Masonic Temple on Water Street. It’s undergone major renovations, and it’s an impressive facility. There is a place to indicate whether or not you want to go on either of these tours on the reservation form.
For anyone interested in golfing on Friday or Saturday, contact Mike Majewski 920-563-4499 to sign up for a tee-time. Do so by June 22 – Spring Creek has put aside some times for our group. After June 22 unscheduled times will be released. They’ll keep a running list of class of ‘68 golfers so you can see who else is golfing and arrange foursomes.
For those of you who will be in town on Friday night, we will be meeting at Brock’s River Walk, in the old Neipert’s building on Main St. We don’t have a reserved room – we’ll simply meet in the bar around 8:00. Of course, that will be a pay-as-you-go venture.

Coming from out of town? There is a block of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn Express
(on Hy 12, Madison Ave), phone 920-563-3600. The rooms are $148/night plus 10.5% tax. It’s a nice hotel – nice rooms, a pool, a very nice common room, and includes a continental breakfast. The block of rooms is reserved under “Class of 1968 Reunion.” Any unreserved rooms will be released on June 6.
