Favorite School Memory My favorite high school memories, mann’ there are so many! Ok let me start off with the easy one, spending QT with Deanne Starks! Now there’s about half of my favorite out there! lol The rest goes like this: My freshman year I enjoyed hanging out with my brothers (J.J. & Devin Cross), cousins (J.G., K.D., Eric & Greg, Asia Lynch, Cheryl Davis, Ryan Hemphill, Punkin, and Silvery), friends (Taurus “Bull” Ross, James “BO” Stacey, and April “Bocho” Butler), entire football team, and track team. I remember all of the 9th grade girls dating or trying to date the older class guys! I was like, what’s up with that! Yeah, it’s true! O, this year was a rough year for me. I think my GPA was about 1.0 on a 4.0 scale. I was more into hanging out with my older cousin, sports, and girls then studying books. This also, was my first year working at Bonanza Family steak house for the Mr. Matt Townson ($2.75 as a bus boy). I actually saved up enough money and bought a raggedy red 87 Thunderbird (Ugly). Sophomore year I remember being punked by the upper football classmen and not playing football that year. Yeah, I wrecked the Thunderbird, too! I ran into a parked car leave from work, the day before the first day of school! I was too upset! The car was already ugly, now it was winking in the front. Lol Junior year I’m back on the football team starting a WR, yeah! We go made it to state and lost in the first round. O, the Thunder bird I blow the motor out of it, go figures! Who know that you had to change the oil in vehicles? Clearly, I did! So, it was back to riding the bicycle. O by now I’m killing the track field. We lost the conference meet by one point, Ernest Mclinton cost us the 1st place metals in the meet of the champs, Christy and D. Williams ran good for the lady’s and we finish second in state on the 4 x800 meter relay. The rest of the track memories will have to stay memories, if you where there you know! Fun times! O, what about that time I got my finger stuck in the vender machine, after track practice. Yeah, why someone had to call 911 to get my finger out of the machine? Lol, Marcus Laics was there, I think he my have called 911. Radius Cunningham was there laughing, I think, know I’m sure of it! Yeah, I dislike him for the reminder of the school year. Once my finger was out, they tried to take me to the hospital; I was like I’m not getting into any ambulance, am ok. When I step out side that wind hit that hand, I was like let’s go! lol Senior year I was benched on the football team. Coach one eye Myer, was trying to make a point because I skipped training camp. I was working at that time in the Memphis, trying to make enough money to buy me another car (The Gray Mustang 90). So never the less, after not playing in the first two loses I quit the team. Yeah, bad decision now, but back then I was like if we were winning I can see it, but since we were losing hick no! So, I start training for the upcoming track season. This was the year I had an epiphany, I said that I was going to go to college after graduation and achieve big dreams. O, this is the year Deanne and start dating! Great memories there, too many to share, so if you wasn’t the other person then you wouldn’t know! lol It was hard at the end of the year, saying good bye to all my old class mates. O, those are my high school memories, without talking about my family! May year G...(read more)
