Stan Winfrey is a former professional American football player, known for his career as a running back. He was born on February 20, 1953, in Forrest City, Arkansas, USA. After completing his high school education at Forrest City High School, he went on to play college football for the Arkansas State.

In the 1975 NFL Draft, he was selected in the second round, with the 49th pick. Stan began his professional career playing for the Miami Dolphins, where he remained from 1975 to 1977. Later in 1977, he moved to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
