Favorite School Memory	Hanging out with my friends (you all know who you are!), high school band performances and trips, being part of the gymnastic team when it was amazing to me see the skill level at which my teammates competed.
About Me	After high school I attended Bethel College (now Bethel University) and earned my BA in K-12 Art Education. I moved to New Jersey where I held several jobs before finding a teaching position starting with nannying and working as a sales clerk at an art store. I also enjoyed life guarding and teaching swim classes at a local gym. For a few years I enjoyed living a couple of blocks from the ocean and had the opportunity to work as a life guard and direct and teach the swim program at the bay beach for 2 summers. I loved that! In 2022 I retired (for now at least) from my teaching job where l taught GED classes year round for the NJ Department of Corrections. This career has been an education in itself. Additionally, prior to obtaining my employment in the DOC, I obtained my Elementary School teaching liscensure and earned Graduate School credits sufficient to obtain my "Teacher of the Handicapped" licensure for special education. both liscensures helped me obtain my employment an...(read more)
