About | Obituary for Joseph Lawrence "Joe" Terry December 9, 1944 - June 15, 2024 Joseph “Joe” Lawrence Terry, passed away on June 15, 2024, in Muskegon, Michigan, at the age of 79. He was born on December 9, 1944, in San Francisco, California, to Sam and Helen Terry. Joe is survived by his wife, Sue Terry, his children, Joseph (Teri), Lori (Mark), and David (Nancy), five grandchildren, one great-grandchild named after him, and brothers, Ron and Dan Terry. He was preceded in death by his parents. Joe was a dedicated Army veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. He continued to display his commitment to service throughout his life as an active member in the VFW. He was Veteran of the year in 2001. His career as a Test Technician at Ford Motor Company and as the owner of his own electrical contracting business showcased his strong work ethic and technical skills. Beyond his professional life, Joe enjoyed cooking, shooting, reading, and going to garage sales. He had a wonderful sense of humor and his outgoing nature led him to develop long lasting friendships. His family remembers him as a loving father who was always there to offer guidance, especially when it came to tackling any electrical, plumbing, or home repair problems we had. There was nothing he couldn't fix! In honor of Joe's memory, contributions can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in lieu of flowers. The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 213 E. Savidge St., Spring Lake, MI 49456, is assisting with the arrangements for his funeral service.
