Events | William F. “Bill” Weyer, age 65, of Jonesville, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson. He was born November 26, 1953 in Dearborn to Frank and Virginia (Renaud) Weyer. Bill married Marcia Physician on August 2, 1986 and she survives. Bill graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University. He retired as a detective sergeant from the Dearborn Police Department after 26 years of service. Bill was currently working security for Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson. He was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hillsdale and the Knights of Columbus. Bill was a gun enthusiast who also enjoyed photography, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle with his wife, Marcia. In addition to his wife, Marcia Weyer, Bill is survived by his daughter, Kyra (Joseph Webster) Weyer of Kalamazoo; son, Frank Weyer of Oak Harbor, Washington and one sister, Elizabeth (James) Utley of Dearborn and their daughters, Sarah (Mike) Harrison and Kaitlin (Marcia) Utley. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Weyer. A Mass of Christian Burial for William “Bill” Weyer will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hillsdale with Fr. Tomy Kattikanayil officiating. Family interment will take place at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville at a later date. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 1-3 and 5-8 PM with a Rosary service beginning at 7:30 PM at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or the American Heart Association. |
