We were good friends in high school, when he went by his middle name, "David". We had a lot of adventures and shared our love of music, including the early "progressive" rock of Yes and Emerson Lake and Palmer. He had a kind heart, a sharp sense of humor and a cool, unshakable demeanor. I'm very fortunate to have had Dave Osborne as a friend.
