About | George E Sarkozy passed away on February 26, 1993 at 84 years of age. No cause of death has been listed for George. A Hungarian-American teacher, coach and school administrator, born George BANOCZY, in Detroit, Michigan on May 8, 1908. We know that George E Sarkozy had been residing at 22523 Olmstead St., Dearborn, Wayne County, Michigan. He was a graduate of Fordson High School and Senior Class President, later graduating from the University of Michigan in 1932. He was a halfback for the Wolverines. George became a gym instructor and later an assistant principal for Maples Elementary & Junior High School. He did a great iron cross on the rings in the gym. Beloved husband of Moreen Sarkozy. SARKOZY, MOREEN V.; age 94; March 26, 2008; resident of Oakwood Commons, Dearborn, MI; was born June 19, 1913; in East Jordan, MI; the daughter of Glen Henry Bulow and Ida DeEtte (Chamberlain) Bulow. She grew up in East Jordan and following her graduation from the East Jordan High School in 1931, she attended Ferris State College. She worked as a stenographer in a Detroit law firm before she married George E. Sarkozy on December 22, 1934 in East Jordan. Mr. and Mrs. Sarkozy settled in Dearborn, where she has resided ever since. When their children were grown, she returned to work and enjoyed being a secretary and guide for Greenfield Village in Dearborn. She is survived by a daughter DeeAnne (Dick) Wagner; and two sons George (Joelle) and Doug (Penny) Sarkozy; a sister Ruth Ellis; a brother-in-law Edward Sarkozy; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be private for the family and burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan, next to her beloved parents and George, who preceded her in death. |

Oh, my! Do I ever have memories of Mr. Sarkozy!! Frequently gave me swats for mis-behaving, but NEVER, EVER without good reason! Mr. Cuda's comment above is one I also share! He did teach me to become a man and was responsible for me going to GMI and starting a great career! God Bless and Protect!
