In 1964, our junior year, John Sellers and I had Henry Dietz for chemistry. We were generating oxygen, which is very volatile, and Henry kept walking around checking everyone to make sure it was going well. He checked ours and started to walk away when the whole thing blew up. Fine glass particles shot all the way down the hall to the library and John's beaufont hairdo sparkled from the powdered glass. We had our 15 minutes of fame that day!
