About	Michael J. Colla, age 59, of Fond du Lac, died from cancer on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his home. He was born on December 15, 1954 in Fond du Lac, the son of Myron “Mike” and Jeanne (Wendels) Colla. He graduated from Goodrich High School in 1973. On July 5, 1991 he married Jennifer Bau in Sheboygan. Mike had a Bachelor’s Degree in education and a Master’s Degree in math. Mike’s passion for education led him to a career as a teacher and later on as a freelance math textbook author. He was a member of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church. Mike was a very generous and fun guy, had a zest for life and would do anything for anybody. Mike was an extremely dedicated and devoted father. SURVIVORS: his wife, Jennifer Colla of Fond du Lac; one son, Christopher of Fond du Lac; his mother, Jeanne Colla of Fond du Lac; one brother, Jeff Colla of Minneapolis; one sister, Jill (Terry) Reynolds of Malone; father in law, Charles Bau; brother in law, Chuck (Linda) Bau; brother in law, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Bau; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father in 1971, and his mother in law, Barbara Bau in 2013. VISITATION: Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, 55 N. Prairie Rd, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church with the Reverend David Haugly officiating. Cremation has taken place. Private family interment will take place at Rienzi Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Faith Ev. Lutheran Church or the WLA Golf Team.
