Events | Richard “Dick” Bock, age 66, of Plymouth, WI, passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side on Thursday (November 25, 2021) at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Though his health declined in recent years, he always found a way to make light of the situation with his sense of humor. He was born on September 22, 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a son of the late Kenneth and Nancy (Gransee) Bock. Dick graduated from LP Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac in 1973. On December 17, 1976, he married Cheryl Love in Fond du Lac and together they had three children, Christopher, Courtney, and Stephanie. He worked various jobs; he was a travel agent for many years, worked in sales at Culligan, and most recently bartended in Eagle River. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling, and playing cards with family. He also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas. Dick was known as a “jokester” and made many people laugh. He had a one of a kind sense of humor. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them how to fish. Survivors include three children, Christopher Bock, Courtney (Brian) Eder, and Stephanie Bock; five grandchildren, Joey, Brayden, Addison, Camden, and Jayce; three siblings, Debbie (Larry) Provencal, Karen (Joe) Casey, and Mark (Connie) Bock; and his former wife, Cheryl. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Jill Schultz. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held on Thursday December 2, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Racer’s Hall W4408 County Road C Plymouth, WI 53073. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Dick’s name. The family would like to send a special thanks to his home health nurse Jeff, EMS, the staff at DaVita, and Dr. Qui, along with the many nurses and aids at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center for all the care and compassion given to Dick. |
