Floyd E. Kellam Class of 1968 50th Reunion
Our class reunion will be held at the VA Beach Resort Hotel and Convention Center on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. The resort is located at 2800 Shore Drive, VA Beach VA (http://www.virginiabeachresort.com/). The dress is casual, there will be a three course sit down dinner (with three choices), DJ, dancing and much more. Make sure you mark your choice from below on the registration form. That will be the dinner served to you at the reunion.
There will be a Meet and Greet at the hotel on Friday September 28th from 7:00 to whenever people decide to leave. Please make plans to attend this Meet and Greet, it will be great to see old friends.
The hotel has set aside suites for us on Friday and Saturday nights for $129 plus tax. Please book ASAP with the hotel to make sure you get their deal. Their phone number is 757-481-9000.
Please complete the registration form and send along with your check ASAP. In order to keep our cost low we need to have 70 attendees. We are also happy to extend an invitation to our reunion to other Kellam alumni from the 1965-1970 classes. Please feel free to share this information with any and all of your Kellam friends, this maybe our last reunion, let’s make it a success.
Dinner Choices:
Starting with a traditional salad of mixed greens with cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumbers and shredded carrots served with ranch and Italian dressing, rolls, sweet creamy butter, fresh brewed coffee, decaffeinated coffee and fresh brewed tea. Select one dinner option for each attendee. There will be a cash bar from 7:00 to 7:30 prior to dinner, dinner starts at 7:30. The bar will remain open during dinner
Chesapeake Crab Cake Platter: Chef’s choice of pasta and vegetables.
Asiago Chicken Rolade: Chicken breast filled with spinach, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, sundried tomatoes and asiago cheese. Served with garlic whipped potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables.
Roast Prime Rib of Beef: Roast prime rib with Yorkshire pudding and chiffon of horseradish cream. 10 oz slow roasted prime rib au jus, served with buttermilk mashed red potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables.
Followed by New York Cheesecake with fresh fruit coulis.

UPDATE: Kellam High School 50th reunion is a GO. Since the hurricane decided to do some hula hoop thing (sorry Florida) it appears our weather is looking much better. Please join us for fun, plenty of food, reminiscing, laughter, and great music...I do believe we were the leaders of Rock and Roll. Come enjoy an evening of memories of starlit nights lying on the sand, cruzin the Strip, innocence and care-free living. We were the children of the Beach!! Now if you have read this and think, Dang I should have made reservations, have no fear. Come to the event with $$ in hand ($65 for one; $130 for two) and let us know through khs1966classreunion@gmail.com if you are coming. As an incentive or to make up your mind...we will have a reunion album published a couple of weeks after the reunion. Too many other things to mention. LET’S ROCK THE REUNION!! Kellam High School Class of 1966 reunion committee is planning the 50th class reunion for October 8, 2016. 1965-1970 alumni are also invited. It is a beach themed event…think Peppermint Beach Club, cruzin the strip on warm summer nights, beach music to dance to and so many other fond memories brought to life on this once in a lifetime special event.
