Barbara De Laleu

Class of 2001

After graduation from Floral Park Memorial High School in 2001, this young woman moved on to vast opportunities in the collegiate academic world becoming heavily involved in student life at the Queens campus of St. John's University where she was an Orientation Leader, member of the Haitian Society, Haraya, the Pan-African Students Coalition, Black Student Leadership conferences, and many other community service activites that helped to make a difference to her campus. Because of her hard work and determination, Ms. De Laleu followed her dream of being a radio broadcaster to all new levels landing an on-air gig at Long Island's own 102.3 WBAB- Long's Island's home for Rock and Roll from February 2007- May 2007 then to move on to voiceover work for Talk station WWRL 1600AM in New York City and WBAI 99.5 Peace and Justice Radio in New York City as well for several on-air radio programs. Her resume doesn't stop there and neither does her success. Currently, Barbara De Laleu is the Affiliate Relations Director for the all acclaimed Dr. Laura Schlessinger Program and a graduate student at New School University in New York City where she is majoring in Speech Language Pathology and hopes to one day become a Speech Language Pathologist. Ms. De Laleu currently resides in Perth Amboy, NJ with her audio producer and engineer fiancee Keith Salandy from Black Entertainment Television Creative Services Division, whom she met while recording a voiceover for the station. Life couldn't be any more grand for this former FPM cheerleader! GO KNIGHTS! FPM Loyalty till the end!
