About Me	After earning a BA in Psychology (cum laude) from the University of Hartford, I spent several years in Human Resource Management working for the Federal government (OPM) in Washington, D.C., the healthcare field (Asst. HR Director for a hospital) and higher education (Asst. Dean of Personnel Services at Northeastern University). When my husband's work took him to Baton Rouge, LA I started my MBA at LSU and finished at Rivier College when he was transferred back to New England. I spent the next several years with the former Digital Equipment Corp. in a variety of HR management positions, balancing career and motherhood. During this time I also taught Employee Relations in the Graduate Business Program at Rivier College, having been recruited by the Program Director, who was my former professor When DEC was bought out by Compaq, and I was eligible for a retirement package, I decided to launch my "second career" and become a tax and financial advisor. I took the exam to become an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), obtained my Series 7, 63 and 65 Securities Licenses, and my Life & Health Insurance Licenses. I also earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from Merrimack College and became a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC). A few years into running my own tax and financial planning practice (Ames Hill Tax Services), a colleague suggested I contact his boss, the Dean of the Business Dept. at a local college. I spent the next several years teaching courses in Accounting, Financial Management, and Investments, as an Adjunct Instructor at Hesser College (now part of Kaplan HEC) and Daniel Webster College (now owned by ITT).
