| About Me | In the 70’s I taught industrial relations (shop class) at Manchester High School. I also taught machine shop at a Howell Cheney trade school in Manchester Ct. I left teaching in 1980 and went to work for United Technologies and stayed there through retirement in 2014. I spent the bulk of my career working with labor attorneys as the chief spokesperson in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements both nationally and internationally. I bargained agreements from New Zealand to Norway and many countries in between during my 34 year career. Along the way I became a critical contributor in UTC’s efforts to remain union free at non bargaining units globally. I was often referred to the labor relations organization at UTC as “Mr. Fix it” and, at times, was loaned to other international companies to help in their on going efforts to remain non union.
